Job Description

  • Our client and we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Officer.
  • Familiarity with the Eastern part of Nigeria and the ability to communicate fluently in Igbo language will be a strong determining factor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring they meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and conducting regular stock audits.
  • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and minimize costs, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards in logistics activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics management

Job Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 years of experience in logistics operations or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics processes, and best practices.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve logistics-related issues
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in using MS Office Suit.
