Job Title: Automobile Workshop Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The workshop manager is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop.
  • The manager is responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all part.
  • The workshop manager will be responsible coordinating the technicians ensuring that work is carried out on time and to budget.
  • The manager will be expected to establish a best practice in the management of the facility including the forward planning and optimization of materials, equipment and technical resource.
  • You will be managing a dedicated team of mechanical engineering technical staff to ensure a high quality and timely service.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for workshop administration, vehicle maintenance and servicing.
  • Ensure genuine parts are collected and used by technicians.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of vehicles for smooth operations at all time.
  • Carry out annual budget of the workshop operation.
  • Coordinating and supervise the activities of the repairs been carried out in the workshop on all vehicles
  • Development of skills man power through in house seminar-training on technicalities if maintenance and safety repair for staff.
  • Diagnosing vehicles fault.
  • Ensure vehicle are rescued and recovered in case of breakdown.
  • Identify the gap in vehicle maintenance and recommend the necessary actions to be taken to fill the gap.
  • Plan and organise Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and delegate specific tasks to concerned section / mechanics.

Educational Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience, leading a multicultural workshop
  • Professional technical qualifications in the vehicle and equipment domain.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
